Cary and I explored a little known gem callen the Sunset Trail this Sunday. The weather was perfect and the length and difficulty were just right after a rough Saturday of touch football and drinking games.
My parents visited for Christmas and we hiked every day they were here – it was fantastic. Here are some pictures from our hike from the Rock Springs parking lot around the top of Mount Tam. Rock Spring trail to West Point Inn, then up Old Railroad Grade to Miller. Take a left on International, a left on Northside, a left on Arturo. Explore the military ruins by West Peak and try to find the Mountaintop trail. Quick wiggle on to Ben Stein and you did it!
I went on a bike ride to the Marin Headlands and got a few good shots of the city on a gorgeous day a few months back.
I was lucky enough to get a free light show last night while I was running down to the Golden Gate Bridge. I have no idea why these guys were putting on such a show, but I’m sure happy they did and I’m even happier I remembered to bring my camera!

I love Point Reyes. And Elk. This hike combines both. Head to Point Reyes and drive as far north as you can. Park and enjoy the 8 mile out and back. Bring a snack for the point and a camera for the wildlife.

The road home - my favorite shot of the day
I got married to Cary on 9/10/11. Our first date was an 8 mile hike – and to celebrate our newly minted relationship status we did the hike again!
Lake Tahoe is magical. Last weekend a Hummingbird hit the window of our rental house and needed a little time to relax before resuming his day. I took the opportunity to say “hi” and take a few pictures.
